Get Blocks
You can buy colored, one-inch counting blocks at many stores online. Some are wood, some hard plastic, some soft foam. Try to pick blocks with colors you enjoy, since you'll be using them every day!
Also, you can buy uncolored wood blocks and paint or dye them yourself. Food coloring or liquid watercolors work well as dyes and allow the wood grain to show through.
